Arturo Montoto Porcelain cigar ashtray - Born in 1953, Arturo Montoto studied at Pinar del Rio Art School. Later he continued his studies at the National Art School in Havana where he received a grant to the Surikov State Institute of Visual Arts in Moscow, Russia. Painter, sculptor, muralist and photographer, Arturo Montoto is a member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and The Experimental Graphic Shop of Havana. He has over 30 personal exhibitions to his name. In 2008 his work was presented in the Latin American Christies Auction in New York and he was recently recognized with the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in the category of Cavaliere - 096.99.09.1000
